My cookbooks, mother’s cookbooks, grandmother’s and great aunt. Yes, I do look up on line, but sometimes it is back to the family cookbooks for that very special recipe.Secret to finding the family recipe whe there are a lots of cookbooks – look for the pages that are food stained and pencil notations int he margin.

I’d go with that actually. And let’s call it “Bouch”

For all you chefs out there who get recipes on line: try the Paprika app.

Every DIY book means excuses to prepare (shop) at several hardware and tool stores. To buy another storage shed for the back yard. (Hint: Industrial first-aid kit for the gift giving occasion.) Every trip an hours long social event as well.

Boy, Lady, do you know how to hit close to home! We are getting ready to retire, move into something smaller but, let go of the books? Not a chance! Especially those recipe books.

Yes, we have SO many books and even growing because our library is discarding so many, especially if they haven’t gone out in 5 years! Everyone (especially authors) take note – if you have favorite books, go check them out every few years or they’ll get discarded! It’s terrible how it becomes a popularity contest…

Books are like sacred items. You don’t want to throw them away and giving them away is hard even if you can find someone to take them. So, you just stack them up and let someone else worry about it when you are gone.

See that El-Dweets are also guilty of Tsundoku (Japanese word for people who buy more books that they can ever possibly read).
