Nate has potential, but he doesn’t always show it.

This is just speculation, but I feel like Pierce is just stretching these arcs out for as long as they’re being for the sake of the book compilations released every half a year.

I mean, who is really reading Big Nate in the newspaper anymore? Does the fanbase it has online compare to how well the compilations sell? At all? Kinda wish he’d do away with “arcs” and just give us one-off strips, like he used to do.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong having an arc every once in a while, but this? What even is this arc? I thought this was supposed to be about Gina! Are we gonna see Nate and Daphne grow their relationship or something? What is supposed to be happening?!

At this point, I like the Sunday strips better than the actual daily strips. They’re funnier, get to the point faster, and they usually have a lot more going on with them.

Wow, he’s not stupid. This is some Hunger Games plot twist right here. Turns out he was just lowering everyone’s standards. Or he’s still hypnotised.

6/10 Probably one of the only few decent strips in the arc, but it’s being stretched out for miles.

Yeah, don’t worry about it. Nate always acts like this.

Strip rating: 5/10 This comic was decent at least.

I like where this is going!

For everyone here that reads Big Nate comics, and are the ‘’comic reviewer’‘, you guys really need to stop. Lincoln is giving us comics to read daily for entertainment, not for ’’reviewing’’. You guys need to appreciate that he gives us comics every day, taking his time out of his day, for people to laugh at it. Not for people to Review it and say Negative things about it.

Nate discovered the Internet.

Meh, not that bad. 5/10. It kind of makes me smile whenever people are surprised that Nate did well.

The arc hopefully redirects to Gina and Chad

As a schoolteacher in the 21st century, I can say that these strips are close to home or hit the bull’s eye! Teenaged and pre-teenaged awkwardness.

He has an image that he must keep up….

Ayyyy nice to see Nate being smart. Also I hope we can see more of Daphne.

…she was gonna go with “D & F monger” but figures it’s easier just to humor the guy…….

It’s nice to see Nate finally find someone who can appreciate him and see what kind of person he really is. I hope Daphne becomes a recurring character.

I just want to say that you can’t crash a wrecked train.

I literately forgot why they switched partners in the first place

It’s curious that Nate is really going out of his way to do something nice for Gina.

It´s amazing when a young boy wants to impress a girl. He combs his hair, tucks in his shirt, sits up straight. and does his homework. ¨What a wonderful world this would be!¨

Again, I can’t lie, this just works for me! This dynamic is cute, their rapport is nice! It’s nice to see Nate actually try, it’s nice to see someone not just hate on him. Daphne is already being sort of affectionate, ‘oh you’ vibes. At the very least she could end up being a good friend and addition to the cast if Pierce decides to do the usual and break Nate’s heart.

And the joke at the end is just kinda cute. These two work well together, and even though my heart forever belongs to Nate X Dee Dee, this feels like the unexpected perfect girl for Nate. Someone different than him who can offer a challenge and support.

After they get together, it’s kind of interesting that Nate was willing to try, in this case for Daphne. It kind of foreshadows his liking her.

I can replace her sentence with one word. Idiot. A+.
