I’ll try to lay off on kicking R.J. around, but wow, look at his profile in the drawing on the left of the strip compared to what he sports now.
At least Dicey is still the immature, traitorous, foxy vixen she was once before. I hate to return to R.J.’s currently remarkably deficient silhouette, but why does he care two cents about her?
Oh. Wait.
Has Soapapilla morphed into the new, back stabbing Cobra?
If she has, I admit that Dan T will have won my admiration while declaring he has broken my heart. The awkward, gawky, unconfident teenager was still my favorite in the strip.
OK so Rip junior, who is pictured as a youth with TNT at the upper left hand corner of this page, is revealed to be a genetically modified clone of Rip Haywire, (as recaps are popular in this strip) as an ironman super soldier who is now coming into his power, so maybe the call of the wild DID hit him, it just didn’t manifest as exaggeratedly as it did with Rip, the redhead, Popo Kitty and such, and Corrine “Cobra” Carson didn’t need it. Is that a good interpretation Mister Thompson?
Don’t forget R.J. was a kid around 10 or 12 years old when he entered the strip in 2009… If everyone aged in this strip, R.j. would be about 24 or 26 years old I think. That picture in the upper-left corner was to push the kid’s book “Rip Haywire, Escape from Camp Cooties”. Except for that period of Rip Haywire, R.j., was growing old at a normal pace, right? Rip Haywire is a long, long storyline that I admit I forget a lot of the stuff I’ve created. I think this is a fun backstory for him, and answers the “where did he come from” aspect of his stories.

Hey RJ, why don’t you see if you’re strong enough to throw that jeep backwards over your head.

Ah, Dicey? You might want to rethink your statement about RJ not “stacking up” to rRip.

If RJ had grabbed the back of the Jeep, he could have pulled it away from the edge of the cliff.

When you’re defending someone, it’s best not to insult him further. Especially when that someone is trying to save your miserable life.

Insulting an invincible person is NOT a good idea.
