All the books which were out there in the ‘60s and ’70s on picking up girls with smarmy lines (from what I’ve been told, not familiar with them personally…). Never did seem to work (from what I’ve been told …).

The younger generation don’t have the the tired, bags under eyes look that our main cast had, even when they were the students. Alex eventually developed them, but I don’t think Zipper ever has.

Two friends of mine got together that very way. He told the story during their wedding ceremony, and its almost word for word like the above strip.

Kind of amazing that Zonker gave good dating advice, considering that he appears to be asexual.

I was 30 before I asked my (future wife) out. Didn’t particularly like anyone else, but the few I asked said no.
