And this plays right into the argument I was having yesterday on social media… that cats are an invasive species that kill wildlife for the fun of it, and should not be allowed outside to roam.
Years ago, paying attention to birds in the neighborhood, I noticed they sound different when they notice a predator is in the area. They raise an alarm, which other species can recognize. After that, when I heard the “predator alert”, I would look or go outside to see if I could spot what set them off. It was a cat, and spotting it was easier than I thought it would be: The robins were looking in the direction of the cat. So, after seeing three robins or so, I would have a general idea where the cat was.
I believe the purpose of a cat is to control rodents in a farmers barn. They allow themselves to become pets so they won’t have to work to earn their keep. Hmmm.

Squirrels are a wonderful early-warning system, as are crows.

Kaycee Lane, this is a cartoon and the cat is not even a main character. People read comic strips and comment on them to relax, not get into a fight.

If only we could get them to recognize ‘wokes’ as an invasive species, we might save civilization.
