I had a dacshound when I was a kid. He took me for walks. He literally dragged me up the steep hill in our yard after wearing me out.
Yeah walks, not sprints.
We have a seven-year old pittie who firmly believes he is a puppy.
my dog at 7 years old doesn’t like to admit that she gets tired just a bit sooner. Especially in the heat and humidity. In her mind she is still 2 years old. I guess it is like in my mind I’m still 30
