The MAGA republicans are oblivious to the concept of the rule of law and that no one is above the law.

And how are we a banana republic?

So few people understand what a banana republic is and how the term originated. Corporations have done a pretty good job of taking control of the United States.

Gawd! it must be a miserable life to worship that malignant narcissistic psychopath. Ugh!

Unfortunately, we have all these Banana Republicans.

Mr. Becom, if YOU’D done a fraction of things Trump has done, you’d have been in jail long since.

It’s a Banana Republic if you let corruption go unchallenged, Mike. Duh!

One of the common traits of a banana republic and other tyrannies, is when the party in power uses their offices and agencies to attack their political opponents. Putin, Mao, Polpot, Cuba, China, Venezuela etc. all have this on common. This has never happened at this level in the USA until now. And it’s backfiring against President Trump’s Democrat opponents. His polling numbers are up 10% and his campaign coffers have increased by $5 million.

The state of New York has indicted the former President of the United States, proving that NO ONE is above the law. And YOU accuse us of being a banana republic! Why? Simply because Trump is your boy?

For shame. You need to be better than that.

Yeah, but we’re trying to fix that by holding would-be dictators to account now.

But Banana Republicans have been shredding democracy since 1976 (Buckley/Valeo). You can’t keep a democratic republic intact with MAGA republicans and corporate republicans have clearly chosen authoritarianism.

Franklin wasn’t at all fuzzy about our government being a republic. In the 18th century a democratic republic in which the people’s representatives were not automatically members of the aristocracy was about as radical an idea as one could propose. He, like many of the Founding Fathers, wasn’t too sure the people could be trusted with it.
