Since I was a child I have been a faithful radio listener, and without it, my days would be very sad.

Gladys is about as dim as that flashlight is going to be.

I’m wondering about that “portable” radio, looks like it took 3 D cells. Was it a Boom Box?

It could be worse. Gladys could have taken the batteries from the TV remote that Brutus like to use so much.;-D

When the manure hits the air moving device, her body will make good cover to hide behind.

Sounds about right for our hapless Brutus. Swapping dead batteries from one device to another…I can laugh because I’ve done it, hoping it might work for just a few more minutes.

So the batteries in the radio were probably dead. I have an emergency radio that you wind up to generate power. It’s a lot of fun to play with.

Sometimes it’s hard to tell which of them is dumb, and which is dumber. And they make it even harder to tell, because they both have occasional moments of brilliance.

No, the radio went obsolete years ago when streaming music, endless commercials and the constant playing of the same songs over and over again came about. they can’t see that, but we turned them off, so who needs a radio!

Brutus thinks, she’s right, dead batteries are still batteries, so we are not out of batteries.

Brutus was about to say to Gladys: “if brains were batteries you need to recharge yours”, but held it back, keeping up his self control…

Were the batteries in radio not replaced because ….., no good batteries were available at home? Perhaps she is opposed to the flash light, aka torch, as she is opposed to the radio. She prefers the light and image of a modern big, wide screen TV. She prefers old images, aka old movies, rather than old audio, aka old radio.

Hey Brutus, at risking a cold look from my missus for posting this, don’t waste your breath trying to explain it to Gladys. Some women aren’t up to understanding things like that.
