Everyone deserves the right to be themselves and the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness but someones personal pronouns are the least of this countries’ problems. I used to write procedures and used they, them and theirs long before it before it became popular.
Weenus needs to figure out that he’s in a self-isolated bubble, just like the famous “I don’t know how Nixon could have won; I mean, I don’t know a single person that voted for him…” anecdote attributed to New Yorker film critic Pauline Kael in 1972. (As it turns out, her real quote was far worse in terms of provincialism and arrogance against those “not like her”: “I live in a rather special world. I only know one person who voted for Nixon. Where they are I don’t know. They’re outside my ken. But sometimes when I’m in a theater I can feel them.”)
As we’ve seen from both DeSantis’ election and the massive blowback against Anheuser-Busch and its new “trans” Bud Light spokesperson, there are great numbers of people that “agree” with DeSantis, at leas ostensibly.
And it cannot be a “very nuanced” issue if one side engages in absolutism, and decries any debate or “nuanced” discussion whatsoever of the issues involved as unacceptable bigotry and offensive hatred. If it’s a “very nuanced issue,” then let us discuss the “nuances” and come to compromises that protect everyone’s rights—including the right to be left the heck alone.

My granddaughter says that He is my grandson and uses a male first name at school
More confusing are the days He wears a dress and makes for a very pretty young girl
I may not get it, but I’m OK with it
One thing my grandkid knows for sure is that grandpa supports them and woe be unto anyone who harasses or insults them
