I thought I found ‘the one’, but her being allergic to dogs wasn’t the problem.

Or cats….

… only to find out HE “ain’t nothing but a hound dog.”

My hubby of 21+ years isn’t allergic to cats. He loves being a cat daddy.

What if you find “The One” only to find out they’re allergic to YOU

Then they aren’t “the one”

I would be devastated to get seriously attached to someone who is allergic to dogs. It’s a topic that comes up early for me so I can avoid that conundrum. I cannot imagine myself living without at least one dog for the rest of my life. I am now allergic to cats, but if I were involved with someone who felt about cats like I do about dogs, I would get the allergy shots or whatever would help.

People are far more important than dogs or cats or money or self.

Had kids once. Turns out they were allergic to our dog, so………….

Well Aunty, maybe if you hadn’t let yourself go to the dogs, he wouldn’t be allergic to you.

The pet (dog or cat) was there first. Take allergy pills, buddy.

I dated a woman who hated cats. Too bad, I had a great second date already planned.

So we know what they consider you.

Or allergic to “true love”.

Or chocolate.

I’m allergic to dogs, but always seem to meet men allergic to cats who have dogs.

My version would be, “Imagine finding someone you think is ‘the one’ only to find out they have a dog?”

To each their own.
