All of Milford converges on The Bucket to join the euphoric celebration of the JV girls softball team win over Oakwood. A line out the door forms as Milford celebrities like Fistpump Family and others arrive. Meanwhile smoke from the victory bonfire hangs heavy in the Milford night. Somewhere in the distance the HRRAAAK of an overjoyed peacock is heard.

Which line drive is Keri referring to…the one she lead off the game with? Well, Milford won, 6-3, so, yes, they could’ve won the game without it. Or was it a line drive by Inma later in the game (that we didn’t see), which explains why Inma doesn’t want to “brag”? (It’s like the author draws up the script in advance with several holes labelled with “sports thing happens here”…)

I see Fistpump Man and family made it for the after-game celebration at The Bucket.

Even while begrudgingly complimenting her, Keri can’t help but flip off Dorothy

Did Inma hit or catch that line drive? Inquiring minds want to know. And they also want to know how she plays softball wearing her hajib.

Why does she “hate to say it”? Did she want the team to lose? Maybe she needs to go before she spoils the rest of the apples in the bag

All those years in the Malaysian sweatshop have made Keri a tough nut on the outside to hide her insecurities. I think she’s really warming up to Dorothy. Clambake at Milford Town City Park Lake!
