Damage tribute! As a landlord, that has some attraction.

I’m fortunate in that my apartment needed the carpet replaced when I moved in as a cat I adopted a few years ago likes to scratch the carpet around the door frame. The new owners will basically gut my apartment and upgrade it as they have been doing, granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, etc.

Love how Rob is so self-aware throughout this whole strip.

If you’re gonna stain stuff, stain it good.

When my parents first married and rented a place together, my dad repainted the bedroom white. Unfortunately, he knocked over the bucket of paint directly onto the carpet at the center of the room. He did his best to clean it up, but it was always a bit lighter in the middle, but it wasn’t a big deal, since they put their bed in that spot. When they moved out, the landlord wanted to know why the rest of the carpet wasn’t as “clean” as the spot where their bed had been!

As if a dog (especially one as gastrictly experimental as Satchel) would leave something edible on the floor for more than a nano second!
