japan has lots of earthquakes daily, mostly small, but occasionally strong enough to remind you of life’s frailty. a former schoolmate prepared for the big one by wearing a helmet at all times and lugging around a backpack loaded with emergency supplies…

How long before it occurs to Agnes that while her head might be well-protected from that shower fall, the rest of her can still be injured? I guess it doesn’t matter — Grandma will make her take the silly thing off first.

I guess she doesn’t know about helmet hair. :)
