Very timely, with the report a few days ago of a meteorite that crashed through the roof of a house in New Jersey.

There are a million things to fear. I fear one thing for an hour and then I move on to the next fear.

I basically don’t worry about all the danger in the world. That doesn’t mean I don’t try to work on things I think are harmful — and there are many — but in the big picture, I know I’ll eventually die no matter what. That kind of takes the pressure off.

I don’t think a meteor can hit you on the head. A meteorite, on the other hand…

“You guessed it, friend! Norton G. Fester is a part-time nut!” (When Falls the Meteor, Spider-Man #36, story and art by Steve Ditko, captions and dialogue by Stan Lee, imperfect recollection by me)

Falling stars are harmless, It’s the shooting stars you have to be scared of.
