The “Citizens United” case said that corporations had the right of freedom of speech. Disney is suing, claiming that FL is infringing on that right. Doesn’t seem “goofy” to me; or is it just corporations that “speak” things that you like that are covered?

Sorry Henry, Disney lawyers are not Goofy; not by any stretch.

Desantis now has a rearguard action going as well defending his sanctioning and watching torture at Guantanamo. Any more we can add to the pile on?

Disney has eaten DeSantis’ lunch so far. What does that say about Lil’ Ron’s legal skills?

Payne is typical MAGA, apparently. Free speech, but only if you agree with me.

Disney is definitely not the happiest place on earth. WOKE and politics has ruined it for everyone.

Well Disney’s last two “children’s” movies, Lightyear and Strange World, tanked at the box office. There was even concern about the viability of Disney’s animation studio. So I think Payne got the “Go Woke, Go Broke” dead on. If they don’t want to listen to the buying public, they just may lose their big money maker film industry.

Disney decided to take a side in culture war politics. DeSantis / Florida legislature fought back. Disney then announced a ‘poison pill’. DeSantis called and raised. Disney now cries ‘foul’ and files a suit. Maybe the Disney folks should have stayed in their lane to begin with, stuck to their corporate mission, if they can remember whatever the He11 it is — “rake in the $$”, probably. Maybe there’s a moral in all of this for other corporate entities. Hey, Bud Light – ’you listening??

“woke”, much like ‘politically correct’, is simply showing consideration for your fellow American. conservatives try to demonize those terms. Payne, do you oppose showing consideration, or just oppose Americans?

Good one, Disney, had the right to run their business as their own government, when you are given that privilege, not a right, then you are expected to hold yourself to a pretty high standard.

The thing is, DeSantis made it political retaliation because Disney came out against the “Don’t Say Gay” bill. They had no other reason and the retaliation happened right after their statement. It was a clear violation of their Freedom of Speech.

Where is the car, I assumed he would have a seizure if he drew a cartoon without a car.

When I see the “go woke go broke” it brings to mind the person saying is just another bigot and racist.
