Irving: They're backed up to an external, portable hard drive! Cathy: What if the external drive fails? Irving: They're backed up to CD! Cathy: What if the CDs deteriorate??? Irving: They're backed up to a tape drive stored in a climate-controlled vault!! Cathy: What if the technology changes and tape is no longer readable by the equipment of the day??? Cathy: At least we'll always have the prints. Irving: What if they weren't printed on acid-free, archival paper with non-fading, water-resistant ink?? Then.
