I recall as a kid in the early-1970s when a TV program would proudly announce it was “IN COLOR!” .. and I’d say, “no, it’s not,” because our TV was still black & white.
My husband brought a color TV with him when he moved in in 1990. Until then I had black and white, with antenna. No cable. When he died, I didn’t know what to do with his color TV. Or cable. So I cancelled the cable and gave away his TV. Kept my little black and white until it died, some time in 1999. I bought it in 1975.

Question, if their TV is an old one, how can it work with the lack of analogue signals? I don’t see a converter box.

Molly must be so embarrassed of her father’s primitive, old fashioned ways. I think her mother is embarrassed of it, too.

I recall my first exposure to a single color show. One, count ’em one. I was a tad bewildered that everything else was still in black and white
