That stupid vintage TV is primitive and useless! You can’t make it brand new again! Besides, what if it catches fire and blows up?

Besides, flatscreens will become retro in just a few years.

Bear should act out the entertainment until the TV is repaired.

Don’t like watching on digital sets, especially flat screens. When I watch on a digital TV I see little boxes moving when there is a lot of movement (such as water running) and sometimes with a lot less movement also. (Per my eye doctor – not that unusual a thing.)

Husband bought a flat screen for our living room (the fact it ruined the 18th decorating he had worked years to get right and I have been limited in what I can display in the room due to keeping the look aside). When he was looking for a set I complained that they were all too bright a picture for my eyes. He told me that there was a special setting for store display which made the picture brighter and we would shut that off at home. Been almost a year now – still have not found that shut off for the store brightness. I wear anti-glare glasses while watching the set with him on Friday and Saturday nights – and that just makes the brightness (at lowest setting) passable.

I watch TV on our kitchen (doing so right now), office or bedroom sets – all analog sets.
