Hearing loss affects lots of people, not just older folks like me. National Institute of Health website says 13% of US residents age 12 and above have hearing loss in both ears.
I have spent about $10K of my own money, above what insurance paid to find hearing aids that actually work. That’s a total of 4 or 5 pairs. They are great at making the noise louder, but I still can’t pick out individual voices from the background noise, which makes them worthless. Anyone know something that does work?

and for older people, hearing aids work, but for younger people …. not sure
