i coach high school baseball and in the same inning of the same game…. in the top of the fifth we turned a 6-3 triple play…( they his a line drive to our shortstop with their guys on base running on a hit and run…. and…we hit into a 7-6-2 triple play… left fielder made an unbelievable catch with our guys running…one game…same inning…two triple play…..wow…
I played a bit of 1st base in my younger days – I always told the infield, throw it in the dirt (one or two hop if you have to). I can’t jump that high so it’s pretty easy to throw over my head, but I guarantee you can not throw under me!
