Why is the Arabic written from bottom to top? Yes, Arabic is written right to left (except for numbers), and the order of words is right to left, but they go from top to bottom. You don’t start reading something from the bottom of the page.

I rode a tortoise (he figured if he rocked back and forth, he’d knock the rider off, but he didn’t care if a kid sat on him in the meantime) and he didn’t care. Didn’t even care when the dog barked at him.
