While sloths may spend a lot of time just hanging around and do not move real fast, they, surprisingly to most people, can actually move much faster than what this comic implies. Three-toed sloths have an average ground speed of just 6–8 ft per minute. That means that they actually can do 50 feet in less than 10 minutes. And in treetops, at 15 ft per minute, they could do 50 feet in less than 4 minutes.

Must be a drag climbing down from the canopy to go to the bathroom. Probably why they don´t eat Tacos.

When I was a kid, we lived for a time in Panama Canal Zone and we did have them. We kids were warned to stay away from them because if they DID claw you you were in danger of SEVERE infection from all the nasty stuff they carry.
