Cathy: No, thanks. I don't want to spend any money. Saleswoman: Of course you don't. But if you don't spend any money, our store will lose money. If our store loses money, my hours will be cut and I'll lose money! If I lose money, I'll spend less at my neighborhood shops and restaurants, and they'll all lose money! If all those places lose money, all the people who work in those places will lose money and they'll spend less in their neighborhood shops and restaurants, and they'll all lose money! And on and on and on and on...your frugality launches a downward spiral of devastation, crushing the hopes and dreams of... Cathy: OK! OK! I'LL TAKE IT!! Saleswoman: New for spring '09: "haute guilt".

heres the secret. IF you always go out to dinner, dont stop, just only go out one day rather than 5, If you buy your lunch each day, bring it to work 4 days and buy it on the fifth. Do what you always do, only do it less. Keep the money moving!
