Mrs. Hillman: Dad and I will sleep on the sofa tonight so you kids can have your own comfy bed back! Irving: You're not going to sleep on the sofa, mother. Mrs. Hillman: We'll sit on the sofa and try to get a little rest! Irving: You're not going to sit on the sofa all night! Mrs. Hillman: We'll stand beside the sofa and pray we don't wake you with the sound of our bodies crashing to the floor if we happen to doze off!!! Mr. Hillman: Must we go through this drama every night?? Mrs. Hillman: I'm a mom. I can't resist a bedtime story.

My in-laws insist on having us sleep in their bed when we come. Yuk! I wish they’d let us sleep in the guest room or a hotel. I make sure to have a bed of some kind for them, but I’m not giving up my bed & bedroom.
