Ziggy it would have been a lot cheaper just to walk around in your neighborhood.

Save the driving days for when it is raining or is 20 degrees F. out.

Walking? By the looks of the people in the window, they appear to be running more than walking.

Why do people buy labor saving devices just so they have time to go to the gym?

Yea I realized this when I was a teenager during the Ballys health club craze. Same with the dial a diet services you’ll spend your food money. Don’t laugh at my belly it’s paid for.

I have seen a picture of a gym with an escalator up to the door. There was stairs on both sides of it.

I used to do that, but outdoors. I would drive 2 miles to be able to run on the city recreation trails.

Ziggy hit it right on the nose. There is nothing more pathetic than someone in a gym parking lot who is cruising around for five minutes to get a parking space near the door. You know, so they won’t have to exercise to get in the gym.

I find I get more exercise when I live within walking distance of a bakery. :)

I used to go to the YMCA and it was crazy watching people circle the parking lot trying to find a spot near the door.

The pastor asked those who regularly go to church to be considerate of those who come only for Easter and Christmas. The “Regulars” could arrive early, park on the streets and overflow areas, so more parking spaces closer to the church would be available for those who seldom come.

In general, I think that is a a good idea. Whether church, theater, stadium, or other place, those who are healthy and arrive early could park in the far spaces. This will help the latecomers be a little less late than if they had to park farther away.

Unfortunately, human nature would likely cause this to fail. “Find something to delay us, so we get a better parking space.”

If I resolve to walk outside, it always seems to be to hot, cold, wet, dark, etc. Don’t have those excuses at the gym, so someone give me some new ones.

It would be more ironic if Zig drove 1 mile to walk 2 miles on the treadmill.
