One of my favorite photos is of my cat Johnny Depp when he was a kitten. Although he was yawning, with one paw braced on a world globe, it looks like he is roaring “I’m King of the World!”
I loved to watch the litters of Siamese kittens when they first left the whelping box and discovered the scratching post. They would rough and tumble their way up the post until the fastest one got to the top and became King or Queen of the Mountain. Once the title was earned, the kitten had to fend off the others to retain the title.
