Now we know why that strip several days ago showed our boy as deathly afraid of meeting Vero’s parents. He’d probably been thru this sort of thing before, maybe with the vice-principal or job interviewers, possibly a cop.

this arc has been way to close to the mark for comfort – nearly a carbon copy of a dinner i had with a long, long ago girlfriend’s parents. she probably still smarts when she remembers it… ☺
