If the readers know Irving well enough by this point, he actually thinks the #1 concern of the 21st Century is to collect all the new high tech toys each year…
Funny that Cathy says “spiritually connected”. I could be wrong, but I can’t recall any religion strips in Cathy.
And I think she’s talking about people in general, not just herself. About the privacy issue though, I think most people are so interested in whatever they’re doing on the Internet that they don’t care about privacy.
I’m one of those few, rare people that doesn’t believe in announcing my personal private business to everyone on the internet these days! I like flying as low under the radar as I can; that’s why I’m not on Twitter, Facebook, MySpace or any other kind of social networking site. I still can’t wrap my brain around why anybody would want to know what I ate for breakfast … what I’m currently watching on television … or that I just got done using the bathroom! Why??? Why would I want to tell anybody things like this about myself??? And why would anybody want to know things like this about me??? It’s all just completely bazaar if you ask me!

WebSpider: I must confess, I haven’t read it either. What does the GoComics.com privacy policy say?

GretchensMom, You are so completely right. I have exactly the same thoughts and opinions.
Why indeed would anyone care what I am doing at any time during my day that doesn’t directly concern them?
I don’t get it.

And I suppose Irving, who has been hacking into her email usage etc., is here to provide her with privacy.
