    Howdy Vagabonds

Not raining, yet, but it looks as though it might start raining anytime. The temp was 57 at first look. The forecast says mostly cloudy for this morning, T-storms this afternoon.

My nephew is taking delivery of a BBQ smoker today, he thinks there ain’t enough flavor in our foods. There’s also a bag of mesquite wood pellets that comes with it.

Going shopping this morning and I’ll find something for BBQing. (^.^)

A fine day be yours Vagabonds and may God bless.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Mark, we got your rain. It’s been raining since before I got up this morning. It was coming down pretty hard, but has eased off a bit now. Even the weather page says we are experiencing “heavy rain” (with only a 48% chance of precipitation LOL). Ah well, we are in the monsoon season around here after all. Perhaps we’ll actually get enough rain to help the water level in Lake Mead. (They are predicting that Vegas will be on severe water rationing within 5 years. I think I’ll move back to Oregon then.)

Today I get to see the other orthopedist about my hip. Here’s praying that the solution is as simple as it was with my wrist (which is steadily improving!).

Have you guys ever seen red yucca? It’s a truly ugly desert plant whose bloom stalks are not strong enough to support their own weight. They sag across and block the walking paths every spring and summer. I have gotten into the habit (with the permission of the landscaper) of breaking those stalks every time one blocks my way. They come along behind me and remove the broken ones. They don’t like the plant any more than we do, but the plants have been here longer than the landscaper and we are reluctant to remove them (and there are a LOT of them) because we’d have to pay for replacements. So I go on my merry way, breaking bloom stalks as I go.

Our forecast has jumped to 87 (yesterday it said today would be 81). It’s 67 at the moment with the rain coming down, so we’ll see. Michael went for a walk in the heavy rain. He loves doing that. Pacific Northwest in him too I guess.

    Everyone have a blessed day.
