    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Bible study this morning at Mike’s church. He and I rode over together this time and afterwards we went to a local bible bookstore to get a cover for my new, larger than average, super-giant print NASB bible. I found one that will work and has room for my notebook and pencil.

After that we went to the International Market which is basically a supermarket that sells imported foods from all over the world. A great place to get lost in. And yes, I bought some things that I remembered from when we were in England. (Was that really 27 years ago???)

This afternoon the three of us are going to see the new Indiana Jones movie. The theaters around here have started using assigned seating, so our seats are already reserved and paid for. Yay Popcorn!!!

We officially got up to 100.4 yesterday. On my patio, 106. Today’s forecast is for 105 and it’s already 101. Looking at the 10 day, it will be around 105 to 107 for the foreseeable future.

    Everyone have a blessed day.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

I was disappointed in the Indiana Jones movie. It was definitely a “guy” flick and both Michael and Mike loved it. For me it was too much violence and way too much “borrowed” from other movies, some from the same franchise and some not. (They even borrowed a bit from “What’s Up Doc”, the Ryan O’Neal/Barbra Streisand comedy.) There were some good moments, but overall I was bored.

That same theater is showing some “classic” films every Sunday this summer. Today’s is the original “Jaws” with Robert Shaw, Richard Dreyfuss and Roy Scheider. Michael and Mike are going to see it this evening. I chose not to for two reasons: 1 They never do things together just the two of them and this is a good chance for them to do so. 2 I have no desire to see “Jaws” again.

Just a funny aside about “Jaws”: I went to see it when it first came out with my now ex-husband. You have to remember that it was brand new and the “startling” things were unexpected. At the scene where Dreyfuss is underwater exploring a boat and the head appears in the porthole, the guy sitting next to me jumped so high that his seat flipped up and he came down on the edge of it.

Off to church soon. It’s Donut Sunday, but I don’t know what we are going to do this month since our normal supplier won’t be back from their month-long vacation until Wednesday.

As for weather: It’s HOT. And it’s going to stay HOT for a while. ’Nuff said.

    Everyone have a blessed Sunday.
