We have a neighbor that has a GS that comes barreling to the fence raising a ruckus when we or anyone else walk by, he always says the dog is friendly and just putting on an act.We don’t believe him.
I enjoy the other dogs in my neighborhood. Some bark with joy, some quietly sniff my dog, some come to me since my dog doesn’t pet them. They are all fun. My only issue is getting greeted by a barking dog who decides to also greet me with the bottom of muddy feet on my clothes. I even pick up the smaller ones, even when they are soaking wet. My dog is happy to see all of them, too. Most are on leashes, as required here, but not all. One hops like a frog when walking and I can’t stop laughing when we walk together.
I can Google it, but do any fellow readers know why that breed is often seen as “GSD” with the word “dog” included in the name? It’s not like there are “Dachsund Dogs” or “Schnauzer Dogs”…

And, in that encounter, Rover used his right to remain silent.

Rover had his rights read to him but he wasn’t arrested. He seems to have just had a police warning.
