stop hating on cathy! It’s too easy to hate on her but everyone has personal flaws and challenges they struggle with! If it’s not weight for some people, it’s something else!
We don’t exactly put hate on Cathy. We just shake our heads slowly when we see her standing in front of a fridge one day and then expects to buy a cute looking bathing suit the next. It’s not even pity. It’s more like the 8th wonder of the world.
Oh come on, people, since when did EATING become a novelty! Sure she isn’t a model but she’s not obese; she’s a cute cartoon character! And just cause she’s self-concious doesn’t mean she’s fat.
I certainly identify with a cartoon strip that showed Cathy pondering some deep philosophical (or emotional) problem, then thinking to herself, “Oh, well, I know what my brain will say to me about how to deal with this” and you hear from all sides “Eat! Eat! Eat! Eat! Eat!”Well, perhaps it’s not her brain. But some part of her that doesn’t deal with issues very well. And we should all know all about that.
@ladyfingers86, how does your cat hold on to the stove? or counter? so it can climb to something which definitely looks like Cathy would have lots of it in the house (pie?)? I used to see our cat jump 6 ft. from a standing start to get to the nice, warm top of the refrigerator, but this?and our cat was the runt of the litter, never weighed over 6 lb.(6lb for 6 feet = 1 foot-pound, you know…) ;>)

I’ve (barely) got the narrower waist Cathy’s looking for . . . but I completely identify with all the rest of the “different sizes” she’s dreaming of!

The Cathy cartoon is fun. It makes me feel better about myself. I haven’t bought a bathing suit in years.
