On the contrary, he’ll be searched for, far and wide, because he was in FA! What other comic strip is as clever, thought provoking, hysterical, great art work and genius dialogue? YAY!!!! Frog Applause! Hip hip hooooray!
Might no longer be employed on the pages, but as a Frog Applause veteran, he can command top dollar at the reunion convnetions like old Star Trek actors!
We know a couple of people who recently moved from the Bay Area to Texas. Both have marketable job experience. Apparently Texas employers count having lived in California as a big negative.
So, he retires to that big boarding house in the sky for washed-up cartoon characters? Hey, it’s not so bad. He can hobnob with the likes of King Aroo, Hipshot Percussion, and Terry Lee and the Dragon Lady.
I do worry, however, that he thinks doing a gig in Frog Applause is what has sunk his career. Maybe he just isn’t an engaging-enough character? There is a surfeit of sappy-looking loser-guys in the comics, as we all know….

…being in Frog Applause is like playing Superman…
…you get typecast…
…as the best…
…being your best…
…at your best…
…look at Peter Best…
…can’t play with Herman Hermits if you are a former Mop-head…
…you over powered the Beatles for spice sake…
…unless you are lame enough to get a, ‘Tip of the hat’ gig once in a lame while…
…I cam say,‘lame,’ right?…
