I kinda sorta like that she looks at all the angles. However, she’s looking through one of those kalidescope thingys we had as kids. That being said, she’s still totally weird.
The thing is she’s basing 500 lbs of luggage solely on the fact that she’s going to lose weight by the time she goes on vacation or while she’s on vacation. The only exercise she’ll get is lugging all that luggage around.
Its probably human nature, but, if Cathy spent half as much time actually exercising as she did worrying about what clothes to take, she wouldn’t need to worry about what to take because EVERYTHING would look good on her.
Anyone who doesn’t like this strip can’t relate to it. The thing about Cathy as a comic strip is that despite the long lists that can get tedious at times, some of us can relate to what’s going on here so well. No one’s perfect, everyone has issues, this strip recognizes the sorts of issues some of us have and I can relate to this so well!
I can relate about the clothes trip; I have a pair of “no excuses jeans” I have yet to fit in must less wear. But I refuse to give them up because of the what if game. :-/
My “what if” suitcase is often the largest — and the older I get the more “what ifs” there are. That’s why I love Cathy — for tho the issues are somewhat exagerated, they are there on a smaller scale in most of us.
