Cathy has a serious hoarding problem, compounded by a procrastination disorder. I predict this strip will end with Cathy being court-ordered into the insane asylum. Ms. Guisewite can then start a new strip about Cathy’s hilarious enhancement of other inmates’ therapy and the slow destruction of the medical staff’s authoritarianism. I know it’s usually “mock Cathy” time in the comments section, but I agree with her this time. With more and more added to our lives every day, I often wish that there were 2 or 3 of me. I seriously doubt that any of you have your lives in perfect order, and if you do, maybe you’ve lowered your expectations, but many of us who try to do it all and try to do it all well, often wish for help.
I get the impression that nowadays we are supposed to be able to do the work of at least 2 people while being only 1 person, and I don’t mean only at the office.
