Having access to MP3s doesn’t mean one has a collection of all the oldies one likes. I’ve never called in to request a song (well, maybe I did once in my youth, can’t expect me to remember everything I did in my youth) but I can understand why they’d still exist – altho I almost never listen to radio these days :^)…
