My distraction from what I am suppose to do is my husband. I plan to work (work-work) and instead we have to go to Lowes or Home Depot or Walmart – to look for something – which will involve going to multiple locations of the store and other stores … and having lunch out at Wendys (though to be honest since we have started going back out since Covid he is down to lunch at Wendys 3 days a week, before Covid it was our daily lunch and Saturday night dinner out).
We come home. I help him deal with what we (he) bought – including wiping most items down with alcohol due to ongoing Covid concerns (we are each high risk by 4 different factors and we do live in a township which for awhile near the beginning of Covid had more cases than 48 states and many other countries).
I then finally go upstairs to our office and turn on the computer. First have to deal with the mail. Then check email – must get 10-15 a day and usually 3 or 4 are not spam, but I do have check all my email addresses and I have different ones for 2 clubs, work, self, junk mail, a client of mine who does not have an email address, but does have an alarm co which will only bill by email, and so on. By then it is 4 pm, maybe 5 pm and I am first going to start working.
I have a client’s books here to finish up and do her business return for last year – and I can’t even get started. I keep hoping it will rain and he will also have something to do without me so I can the work done. Plus have to pay bills, do things for both clubs as am an officer of each, etc. I get started – and he calls that he needs help with something in his workshop or our tiny RV and then it is 7 pm and time to back up what little I did and start cooking dinner.

I’m thinking the nap and coffee chores are a little bit mutually defeating, but whatever meets the deadlines and buys the groceries.

Coffee-themed comic strips are never funny, or original. Neither is this strip.

Well he does chores he’s happy with. But how can he consider drinking coffee a chore?
