There is a small herd of Galloways at a nearby B&B. They are affectionately know as ’Oreo’s’. The guests love them.

There was a herd of them between in Hygiene, Colorado. We didn’t know what they were, but they looked like Hampshire pigs, so we called them Hampshire cows. Rich guy named Norm Stamp had them.

Isn’t it fun to view the world through a child’s eyes?

Children are taught that the cow says “Moo”. They don’t begin to differentiate unless they live on a farm or pursue the matter on their own. A bull-testicles intact, a steer-testicles removed, a heifer-female prior to having a calf, cow-has had a calf. As a breeder of Belted Galloways for over 25 years, I highly recommend the bred. Craigellachie Farm Belted Galloways on Facebook if you want to see photos of “real” ones.
