I can’t run anymore, it’s more like loping. But it still gives me benefits even at my age of 74. I warm up and workout almost every day for about an hour in the a.m., eat like a king at breakfast, a queen at lunch and a pauper at dinner. I’m now down to 174 from 186 in January, so my winter weight is slowly disappearing. This routine is my “addiction” because I feel strong and positive and convinced it will help me toward my goal of living healthy in my last decades. (Don’t listen to the giggles in the background. That’s just Fate having a laugh.)
I found running to be a secondary exercise not a sport. playing soccer, ruby, martial arts basketball … all have a real social connection and while building endurance really work the body.

If only I had known that a few years ago. Cool strategy.

Where I used to run, lemonade stand workers were in danger of being mugged by cows. Our golf course said that the cow pasture was out of bounds.

Apologies for being pragmatic, but since when are lemonade stands open during his early-morning runs?

I don’t think I’ve seen a lemonade stand in over 40 years.
