Okay, I know they’re really stretching it, but this was funny. It reminds me of someone trying to create a job position to manage “social media” because they want to be on Facebook and Twitter all day.Sure, companies need these skills, but they shouldn’t be acquired while doing personal things. (Social media skills should be part of a marketing professional’s duties to complement the company’s full marketing program.)Good morning, AaronClaus! With so many people out of work these days, I’d be scared to death doing crap like this on company time! Apparently, they’re all either too skilled to be fired or it would cost the company more money than it would be worth to hire new people, train them, then wait 5 or 10 years for them to actually learn the job competently enough to replace all of these slackers!

Friend Aaron and I are heading out for New Hampshire, making it to Connecticut tonight. Mostly we’re in search of snow because DC is rainy and too warm for snow. That means we’ll be snow bombed in January/February.

My husband just told me today that he got Steve Jobs’ autobiography as a gift at work, so there goes one of my gifts. :-( He got something really nice from me recently, so I’m covered for a couple of gift giving occasions, but it would have been nice to give him that. I got him something else though and our kids made him a couple of things. I have plenty for the kids, but my 8 yo started crying today because our shelf elf hasn’t been taking the notes that she’s been leaving for him (he didn’t see them), so she’s afraid that she’s not going to get anything for Christmas. It was frustrating, but I think I reassured her. Granted, all she’s asked for is 2 things: a Lego Diagon Alley set (it’s big) and for the rest of the world to have a happy Christmas, so I think she’ll be okay. 3 more days to get through…How about you?
What IS Cathy’s job anyway?? I don’t even know……as for being online not doing your job, the boss should take away their Christmas bonus……..Hello to all ye Cathy nuts :) (you know who you are)….if you’re travelling for the Holidays, please be careful……….@ Gretch’s Ma, I’m almost ready, I’ll be late sending a few cards but it’s only bcuz I ran out of postage stamps…other than that I think I’m ready :)…but then it’s over so fast..oh well……
