A Plugger reads the weather forecast in the newspaper (if they still get one) only to verify it matches his arthritis predictions which they know are correct
The forecast, set in type the day before, was just fine. You got to meet all those people who claim to enjoy walking in the rain. But then, we didn’t about all the devices that need to stay dry.
Haven’t gotten a newspaper since the WSJ got taken over by The Liberal* Media® back in the 80s. *Wholly owned and operated by conservative billionaires.
If the newspaper is wet, it tells you all you need to know about the weather. (I get the same “news” from stroking my cat when she comes inside in the morning).
I use https://forecast.weather.gov where you can get zip code specific weather. There isn’t much in the government that works but they are pretty accurate for our microclimate. Living near a Great Lake and a couple of rivers our weather is often different than the city only 6 miles away.

I usually check my phone or laptop, which seldom agree with each other 100%.

Here in San Diego we probably won’t get any rain until mid or late November. Sunny & Warm, with an occasional deluge of tourists.
