well, I don’t think it’s necessarily a ‘men’ thing, but this is more or less exactly what happened to me with my ex. He and I were sick with exactly the same thing (he got it from me). I was studying for finals so I was sitting up working the whole time, and he was being such a drama queen. When I finally got irritated and told him we have the same thing and to stop stirring up drama, he got really upset…
In the 33 years I was married, I never once got sick that my ex didn’t get sicker, and he expected me to get out of bed every 10 minutes to get him something. Men are such wimps.
Sorry, Irving. Even if it’s bronchitis, it doesn’t give you permission to be such a whiny brat. Cathy came over and took care of you, and all you could do is complain and whine. I can’t believe that I’m defending Cathy, but this was an ugly, bad week for you, Irving.Good morning, tegm and JanuAaronry! JanuAaronry, I hope you’ll have a chance to rest soon. Sounds like it’s been a busy couple of days…Hello to GsMom, Billy, KFG, gmforde, rgcviper, lindz.coop, Wolfie, hendelca and all the other Cathy nuts rolling around here today!@GsMom and KFG – thanks for the kind wishes for my daughter. She does actually say that she wants to be the first woman president, so don’t forget your promise. ;-) After all these debates recently, I’m not sure I could handle people being so mean to my sweet girl, but she’d be a good president.
Grrrr. Now that I got that out of my system, Irving has an audience, which is what he wanted. He’ll play it until Cathy leaves him alone for a few hours. Or until he gets over himself. Nah, that won’t happen anytime soon. Sigh.
Morning Susan when you arrive. Morning lightenup you know the saying; no rest for the wicked. 84 hours this week and one baby delivery overnight, my fifth or sixth in my career. Hope to see Mom! today (you’re special because you’re my first friend here with lightenup a very close second) :-). KFG makes me giggle every morning depite myself. Hello fellow Cathyites as you arrive today / tonight. My night off (finally) but I need to nap a few hours first.
But then there’d be no strip. Men are what they are and most women are enablers. If they’re not, then they are alone and not quite as happy as those taking care of an ‘overgrown infant’.
Unlike whiny Irving here, I never have this problem when my husband gets sick. He just continues on with his business as if nothing’s wrong and seems to get a little irritated when I try to take care of him! Men sometimes! Sheesh!!!!!
;-)
Good evening Aaron, Dr. Billy, lightenup, KFG, Susan, rgcviper, lindz.coop and all the rest of the Cathy fanatics joining us here tonight. As always, good to “see” you all. I don’t know what was going on regarding that stomach bug I had earlier in the week but it’s completely cleared up now as though nothing had ever happened. Ugly as it was, though, I’m looking forward to our weekly weigh-day Sunday morning because I’d be willing to bet on it that I lost a couple of pounds this week — the really hard way!
I’m not sure what to comment on the strip today except eye roll x infinity…….LOL……HELP I’m getting dizzy!!!…I need a doctor…where’s Billy? Or Aaron? HELP!!!!!……….LOL :)
Yes I commented to my own comment…..Hope no one minds all my posts tonight…I’m pretty wired……was busy, a few MVA’s, nothing too serious, a few other things……no babies born though…oh well….Happy Weekend BILLY, Aaron, Lightneup, Gretch’s Ma, Viper Dude, Susan, and all ye other Cathy nuts that wander into her Bizzaro World :)

[Sigh] This week, Irving, you’ve pretty much sounded like a four-year-old. Is it time for a new storyline yet?.Happy Friday, everyone.
