This is a comment for yesterday’s strip, but I was too late to post it: about chocolate. Actually for a chocolate bar to be good for you it should have a certain % of chocolate, say 70%? And when I bought the acceptable Politically Correct chocolate, I (who normally subscribe to the Cathy philosophy of “Everything in moderation – except chocolate”) discovered to my horror that this kind of chocolate didn’t taste particularly good!!! So I had no temptation to eat more at all!!!

*Oh beloved darling?* I’ll try that one on Aaron when he gets home. More likely on Little Muttley Beagle. He won’t roll his eyes at me.

4:20 a.m. Sigh.

Billy blew the line. He called me Oh precious darling. But hey, who am I to argue? I used the correct line on LMB just now. He rolled his eyes at me. So I tickled him. My work is done.

Susan come and gone. Oh well. Morning lightenup around sooner than later says my spider senses. KFG Billy left you a note early this a.m. on yesterday’s Cathy. Good for a laugh. gmforde maybe later this a.m.? Hi Mona if you peek in. If I’m forgetting any other morning crew, sorry. It’s past my bedtime.

Oops, even though Mom! isn’t morning crew, still gotta let her now I was thinking about her today. Hi Mom! :-D

I also just realized that Billy was up very early. He worries about me at work sometimes. Other than the smoke inhalation I’ve suffered in the past, my eye injury (still can’t see by the way grrrr) the burns and dislocated shoulder more recently, I have no idea why he’d worry.

Help me… I agree with Cathy. Not that I want to go back 100 years in every aspect, but I do long for the days when expressing your deep love wasn’t mocked. Plus, I don’t want to see half of the skin that people tend to show these days. I think I’m an old person in a “young” person’s body some days…Wow, what is this world coming to? If you’re used to milk chocolate, it can be an adjustment, but once you eat it more, it tastes so much better than milk chocolate. Mmmmm…@ Mona – I am on my last 2 squares of dark chocolate, so I am desperate and will be shopping today. Most likely from Costco, so there will be enough to go around. From one chocoholic to another, I hope you’ve replenished your supply!

Re: Aaron telling that I blew the line: when one is beloved AND precious, all the words are the right ones. Mona, I’ve found that a hug works better than a thump on the head. Actually two a day so he knows he’s important to me.

lightenup 5:30 is my usual time to get up, so 4:00 was definitely too early. No getting back to sleep though. It’s rare I have problems sleeping. Aaron was on my mind as I woke up. He’s not the only one with spidey senses that tingle.

I have never tried Cherry Republic Dark Chocolate Covered (dried) Cherries. As a matter or fact, I don’t think I’ve ever seen this brand anywhere around where I live (but then, Queen Anne’s are my favorite so the brand you mentioned might be around here and I just didn’t see it). Where do you find it? If it’s anywhere but a Kroger, Meijer, Wal-Mart, Target, Walgreens, CVS or Rite Aid, then I probably won’t be able to find it where I live (in Indiana).

The idea of romance the way they did it 100 years ago would be absolutely fabulous to experience! All the other stuff that goes along with it? Not so much! I’m afraid I’m just too attached to all of life’s modern conveniences to want to give all that up! ;-)

Billy, did you change your and Aaron’s avatars to be more close up? I like them, but I wish you’d smile. I feel like I’m in trouble when you stare at me like that. ;-)p.s. It looks like some of the rest of you (Mona, hendelca, Susan, summerdog…) need avatars. It doesn’t need to be a picture of you (although that’d be cool), just something you like. Please? Pretty please with dark chocolate on top??

p.s. I got my chocolate today. The multi pack of Hershey’s from Costco. I sometimes overindulge, but since the rest of my diet is fairly healthy (I don’t eat chips or ice cream or other junk food), I’m okay with that. Not my usual chocolate that I buy, but I mostly buy whatever looks appealing depending on where I am and isn’t overpriced. I will pay extra for the ones who support farmers who don’t cut down trees though.

I wonder if Cathy would throw Irving over for me since I am now filthy rich. I just won $206,520,000 on World Edition Monopoly on my iPad, playing against the Apple OS. Aaron’s record so far is $43,890,000. I’ve done $54,000+ and Aaron has done $67,000+ on standard edition iPad Monopoly. Gee I hope Aaron puts up a fight for me if Cathy ever does become a shallow golddigger. Ooof, you can tell I’m tired. 10-1 LMB is under my blanket and comforter by now.

Hi Cathyites!! I’m soo happy — I weighed in today at WW, still at goal, and can now feel free to eat whatever I want for Valentine’s Day — I hope my WW leader doesn’t see this.
