Adolescent cats and other light weight cats can fall/jump from considerable heights without significant or even any injury. I have seen video of a cat perched on a powerline crossbar for hours; The power company came and de-dnergised the power line went up on a boom truck to get the cat and rather than be rescued it jumped down vic~ 60ft (18m) and ran off, seemingly uninjured. Of course it was an outside cat and appeared to be thin. THAT makes a huge difference. It would certainly kill my (indoor only) cat.

Sadly, from this height it drove their legs up through their shoulders.

My understanding is that this can be repeated nine times.

I always loved science experiments, although they were never quite as drastic as this one.

GREAT drawing. It is almost frameable.

From another perspective, they could have been just hanging out and saw the cat “fall” from a ledge several floors up or down. Unlikely, but possible.

ln the 18th century people actually experimented with tossing cats out of hot air balloons to test this.

Good artwork, Mr. Bliss! :D

Find it interesting that Bliss draws the dogs more realistically, and not cartoonish cute & cuddly, when they are doing something bad.

You all ever think it might not be the cat? Where’s the human right now?
