As a psychologist I would say he is coping quit well with his belief and it does not seem to be interfering with his life. Go for it! I advised my schizophrenic patients/clients to wear a Bluetooth ear bud, when people see them talking to their friends, they just assume they are on their phones, everyone is happy.

If you’ve never seen it, Harvey is a fun movie with James Stewart at his best.

Those were the days! I am not even old enough to remember the days before smart phones or even ham radio was invented where if someone carried out a conversation with an invisible disembodied voice, that people hearing you thought you were loony bin crazy!

People talking to themselves makes perfect sense. Where else is one assured of both a fascinating speaker and an interested audience?

I wish I had a six foot tall invisible rabbit as my best friend. But Jimmy Stewart did it best!

Well there is a lot of that going around these days. So! You’re all out of touch with reality!! “There is a free mental health clinic on the corner of Lilac and East Valley.” You should go. I don’t think it will help. But go anyhow.

When a psychiatrist tells you that he and 6 foot 3 1⁄2 inch tall invisible rabbit agree that you’re out of touch with reality, you might want to first check to see if you really are at the psychiatrist’s office.

When I started talking to myself, I was told it wasn’t something to worry about. But, now I’m concerned because I’m having trouble following the conversation.
