if only we could go back to the days when there was the occassional verbal barb directed at the ump. sadly, ump-ref-official baiting has been taken to another whole level where aggressive words and action are rising. sports is so big and the expectation of young kids becoming stars for future gains (scholarship or major league) or for pure bragging rights are ridiculous.
