LOL, that´s a nice one Cathy! My husband is playing his new mini computer this very moment, the one he bought because we have only a short vacation this year. And yes, I am actually re-organizing the kitchen shelf…

Billy and LMB and I are about to hit the road for home. We got 10-12 hours ahead so we’ll likely see you tomorrow.

I never did understand the concept of a “staycation.” To me, the whole point of a vacation is to get away from the same old routine and expand one’s horizons by exploring the world away from home. Heck, if I’m just going to waste my paid vacation time by shopping online at home, I might as well not bother taking the paid time off at all and just work!

OK. My initial eye-roll came at first glance, when I saw the size of the cart in panel 4.

Then, the rest of the comic sealed the deal.

Cathy (and the others) just need to put the credit cards away, and enjoy what they already have. I usually try to DO something new when I have free time, and not BUY something new anyway.The only way I can relate is when I was unemployed and had free time. It seemed that any project that I tackled involved buying something. One more note to legaleagle and Aaron – I’m sure I’m going to irritate one or both of you, but as GretchensMom said the other day, this is a safe, enjoyable place for many of us and you two are really beginning to ruin it. Legaleagle, please stop getting riled up over every little thing and picking on people. We won’t stand for that here. I enjoy your comments about the comic, but when you start picking on commenters and what they say, that’s going too far. If you don’t like what someone says, you can disagree, but do it respectfully and don’t think that we’re all picking on you (like that whole “eh” thing… Really?? It was like listening to a bunch of hormonal middle schoolers.) Chill out, and if you don’t have something kind or respectful to say, then just comment about the comic and move on! Aaron, if you don’t like what legaleagle says, then you too can also respectfully disagree, but to keep posting back-and-forth comments, you are making this an uncomfortable place for me. Sometimes, you just need to ignore what other people say and move on. And I know I have my days where I get riled up over what others say and I comment about another commenter, but I realize later that it was a mistake and I need to chill out (or lighten up, right? ;-)). So please, for the sake of our nice, fun group here (and most of us come here because this IS a nice, fun group), please figure out a way to end this sniping back and forth… Thanks!

Groan…I feel their pain, this has been my summer ofDis-expense!

Home again. Billy and I are going to hibernate for about 2 ½ days. If we’re not back in a week, well, leave us alone. We’ll eventually arrive. Later than sooner :-D

 

Truce, Your Highness (please take this as being said with a bit of a smile on my face). At your not-so-advanced age, you deserve a little respect. I’ll give you as little as possible. :-D I kid. I read the comments from last night. I knew what they would say and I’m glad I was right, for once.

 

PS: For the day of June 4th, it was about me, and about as equally about Gabe, my shift partner. Billy and those who came around to wish me well made it about me and Gabe.

 

As is fair, all the rest of the days are about all of us, including me, including Billy, including His Majesty LMB, including Susan, including lightenup, including Gretchen’sMom, incuding Bronzepony in Germany and including AnonaMona in Scotland, and including those who come here of their own free will and for enjoyment. Including Your Highness. Hey, fair is fair. We all have proven that.

Hi Cathyites!! Finally got thru ALL of the posts since we left on the 8th. I love LMB’s adorable picture!! Also love the recipe for Blueberry Bacon Breakfast Bake. Even the hubby perked up his ears at that one — always a good thing since he does most of the cooking these days.

I think all of our vacations will be staycations from now on — this one broke the bank. However, I won’t be ordering more junk to fill up an already bursting at the seams house. Long walks, meditation, petting 4 felines who missed us alot while we were gone (well maybe only 1 of them did) — all sound better than negotiating Paris in 100 degree heat for 2 days.
