It sounds like Rover lives with us on the mountain lol! Our dogs get into exactly the same stuff, plus turkey and deer droppings as well. Sometimes even bear!
Good stuff like that, lol! Dogs definitely march to a different drummer. I want to recommend a new comic, FurBabies if you love cute pets! The strip artist is top rate!
A friend of my parents once had a dog that love to roll in flowers and herbs—presumably because humans liked that, but it was also possible he liked smelling like the roast chicken he loved to steal.
My godmother was not as fortunate. The dog she babysat was desperate to make friends with skunks. The skunks were not inclined to be friends.

Yes, but he’s a happy, satisfied lawn skunk.

Dogs will do anything to appease their masters and live in the human pack. Except take a bath and stay clean.

My Rugby use to do that! Horse barn, deer droppings, you name it. I was told that dogs do that to cover their scent. Who new

One of our rescues “discovered” the compost pile the second day we had her. She was smart enough to realize “compost =>bath” and didn’t do it again.

An appropriate reminder that for all we love our pooches, they are still dogs and will still have unpleasant habits and tendencies.

When I was a kid we had a dog that loved to roll in the freshest, greenest patties in the cow pasture.
