They plied him with catnip.

He was trained by Garfield.

The cat is a mouser – he really gets the mice. If the man could get with it and get to know and understand them all, they could all get along.

“Oh Oysters, come and walk with us, the Walrus did beseech.

A pleasant walk, a pleasant talk, along the briny beach:

We cannot do with more than four, to give a hand to each."

For a real mouser, you need a female who has been allowed to stay with her barn cat mother until she’s at least 10 weeks old.

He’s planning a buffet afterwards

Somewhat purrplexing.

Oh, he can catch them, all right. He is just too kind to dispatch them.

And did you hear the one about the mouse going into the bar?…

Well he caught them, and the TV is holding their attention.

Reminded me of this Golden Oldie:

Man (to Pet Store Clerk): I want to return this cat! You told me he was good for mice, but he hasn’t caught one!

Clerk: Well, isn’t that good for mice?
