As to the comic, I’m like lightenup (and I suppose Cathy, at least in this particular strip). I like the kind of shopping where one takes a brief look here and there for a bit, enjoys the novelty of mall architecture, maybe enjoys the food court, then goes on to some other activity! Unless there is something in particular I’m looking for.

I hate shopping! I only ever buy clothes or shoes to replace something that’s worn out – and I tend to buy something as near as I can get to the original.

Nowadays, with the Internet, I don’t have to visit shops at all, which is a very welcome relief from all the noise and the bustle. ;)

Where was this attitude yesterday when Cathy was trying on that ugly orange, yellow & black monstrosity that did absolutely nothing for her except accentuate how overweight she is?!?
